Small Group Kayak Adventure - Explore Arrábida Natural Park

Meet us at Time Out Market for an all inclusive trip from the city to the ocean. Let us share with you an incredible day out in the ocean exploring Sesimbra and the Arrábida Park coastline.

Escape the city and explore the natural beauty of Sesimbra on a kayaking adventure, with the convenience of roundtrip transportation from Lisbon's Time Out Market included! Our guided tour takes you to Ribeiro do Cavalo beach, one of the most secluded and picturesque beaches in the area, where you will enjoy a refreshing picnic lunch.

We will pick you up from Time Out Market in Lisbon and take you on a scenic drive to Sesimbra, located about 30 minutes south of Lisbon. Once we arrive, our experienced guide will give you a brief introduction to kayaking and safety instructions before we set off on our journey.

As we paddle along the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, you will be amazed by the stunning views of Sesimbra's rugged coastline and the surrounding Arrabida Natural Park. You will also have the opportunity to explore hidden caves and coves, only accessible by water. All our Kayaks are Double sit on top (tandem) for ease of use and safety in a calm trip on the ocean. If you are traveling alone you will share the Kayak with another solo traveler or with the guide.

After about an hour of kayaking, we will make our way to Ribeiro do Cavalo beach, where a refreshing picnic lunch awaits you. Enjoy a delicious meal of local snacks, sandwiches, fruits, and drinks, while admiring the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the lush green hills.

You will have plenty of time to relax, swim, sunbathe, or explore the surrounding area on foot. Ribeiro do Cavalo beach is a protected natural reserve and a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving, so don't forget your underwater camera!

At the end of the day, we will paddle back to Sesimbra, where our driver will be waiting to take you back to Lisbon. This tour is suitable for all skill levels, and we provide all necessary equipment, including kayaks, paddles, life vests, and picnic supplies.

What to bring

Don’t forget plenty of sunscreen and a bathing suit for the time on the kayak. You can take your belongings along with you on the Kayak to the beach or you can store other belongings with us on the van. We don't have shade on the beach so a t-shirt is always a good option to have with you.

We do not recommend taking any electronic divice with you unless it's waterproof. You can use one of our water resistant bags that will be on the kayaks for small personal items but we can not be responsible for any electronic devices inside those bags during the trip. Sit on top kayak are totally open so water comes in and out of it during all time on the water, so you will be wet on the seat area. Don't forget to bring dry shorts/pants/swimsuit so you are dry on the way back to Lisbon.

If you have any type of water shoes you can bring them so you can use them on the beach if you don't feel comfortable with some of the small stones on it but it's not absolutely necessary (not a must bring option).

The meeting point will be in front of the main entrance to Time Out Market (Mercado da Ribeira): https://g.page/timeoutmarketlisboa?share and the guide meeting you will have a sign so you can easily find us. (we meet on the south entrance with the big clock on top of it).

Meeting time will be 10min before the booking time and we will leave the meeting point at the latest 10 min after the booking time of the tour. If you are running late please contact us at +351 969186859 or +351 925669071. Since we are operating a group experience we have to think about everyone else's experience and therefore provide this 15 min extra after the meeting time.
