Boat tour in the heart of Sesimbra, Arrábida park

3 hours

Easy

Join our experienced local crew and discover all the wonders of the Arrábida Park coast line starting from Sesimbra in a private or group tour.

Set sail along one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Portugal: the Arrábida Natural Park and the protected Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, a true hidden gem just south of Lisbon. Towering limestone cliffs plunge into turquoise water, secret coves open up around every headland, and the sea shelters more than 1,350 marine species — a paradise you can only truly reach by boat.

Leaving from the fishing harbour of Sesimbra, we cruise the wild Arrábida shoreline past deserted beaches and dramatic rock formations, including the legendary Ribeiro do Cavalo and the historic "Covas" — the rocky shelters where generations of fishermen spent their nights during the swordfish season. Our experienced skipper brings the coast to life with the stories, legends and traditions of this remarkable corner of Portugal.

Then the real adventure begins. We anchor in a sheltered bay inside the marine park, where the water turns crystal clear, and the sea is yours to explore. Slip on a snorkeling mask to discover the vibrant underwater world, or push off on one of our five stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and glide across the calm, protected waters. Swim, float, snorkel and soak up the silence of a coastline most visitors never see.

To complete the experience, we serve a generous board of regional tapas — local cheeses, smoked ham, cherry tomatoes with vinaigrette, fresh local bread and Farinha Torrada pastries — paired with a crisp Alentejo wine (white or rosé). There's a cooler with ice on board, so you're welcome to bring along any extra food or drinks to keep them fresh.

Safe, relaxed and led by a friendly professional captain at all times, this is the perfect way to experience the magic of the Arrábida coast — whether you're travelling solo, with friends, or with family.
